The fear is Chronophobia, the fear of time, and I want to explore the fear of time running out, and the chaotic nature that we as humans append to time, which is just indefinite, sequential relations between object affected by relative mass. By definition, a neutral element of existence, not bound to malevolence nor benevolence, but often given attributes of both.
These are some extra images that I felt were strong, yet didn't quite fit in due to the color element.

For doing these alone, I feel like you got a lot of emotion. I get a "twilight-zone" vibe from these pieces. I feel like you could vary the lighting a bit, but overall they look really cool! My favorite is your last image. It looks as if you're trying to catch and stop time. I feel like the grain and blur add movement to your photos, while the black and white sets the mood.
ReplyDeletedefinitely feel the movement along with b&W adds to the emotive quality of fear of time running out. They have this surreal feeling, lost time, time blurring by, trying to stop time. Not sure if you could find one but an hour glass could be quite useful in this set.
